Nos encontramos ante una obra con características neoexpresionistas y surrealismo reinventado, encontramos a veces a Max Errnest, en mundos oníricos, donde los acertijos y cuentos duermen las presiones del presente, ofreciéndonos un futuro de paz y meditación. Ignacio Van Derssen, escultor.

Originaria de Düsseldorf, Alemania, Estudió, de 1981 a 1983, en la Escuela de Pintura de la Universidad de Düsseldorf. Un año después trabajó con el artista Paul Schwietzke. De 1984 a 1989 estudió las técnicas del grabado en el taller de Michel Irmer. Sus primeras exposiciones las realizó en 1984 en el estudio de Paul Schwietzke, en la Galería E.P., y con la Comunidad de Arte en Krefeld, Alemania. En 1990 viaja a Marbella España donde colabora en el taller de Carlotte Scheffels y expone en el Instituto Buchinger. En 1996 establece su estudio en la ciudad de México y colabora con los maestros Nunik Sauret y Luis Granda. Durante su estancia en México expuso en diversas galerías.

We are face to face with these pieces featuring neoexpressionist characteristics and a reinvented surrealism; we can meet Max Errnest in his oniric worlds, where riddles and stories doze the pressures of the present, offering a future of peace and meditation. Ignacio Van Derssen, sculptor.

Originally from Düsseldorf, Germany, Schalk studied at the Painting School of the Düsseldorf University from 1981 to 1983. A year after, she worked with Schwietzke. From 1984 to 1989 Schalk studied techniques of engraving at the Michel Irmer´s workshop. Her first expositions took place in 1984 at the Paul Schwietzke´s workshop, at the E.P. Gallery and with the Art Community in Krefeld, Germany. In 1990, she traveled to Marbella Spain, where Schalk collaborated in the Carlotte Scheffels´ workshop and at the same time she exhibits her work at the Buchinger Institute. In 1996, she established her studio in Mexico City and she collaborates with Nunik Sauret and Luis Granda. During her stay Mexico, Schalk exhibited her work in several galleries.
